The Planet Mercury and Other Flybys

Reported in the news today is that a NASA spacecraft will fly by the planet Mercury, today - our first visit there since the 1970s. So it got me thinking ... if people are 'planets' who haven't you checked in on lately?

It might be worth picking up the phone, shooting a quick email, or even wandering down the hall to catch up with someone you haven't talked with in a while. Just ask "What's new?", or "How've ya been?" or even "Where've ya been?" It really doesn't matter how you start the conversation, actually. I suppose that showing up and just smiling or waving your hand might be enough!

NASA hopes to find out what the 'other side' of Mercury looks like, and maybe learn a few new things about is composition, formation, and evolution.

That sounds like a pretty reasonable agenda for your visiting some People Planets, too, don't you think?!
